Calling all Reference Librarians!
Do you struggle with how to answer legal questions from your library patrons? Want to learn some tips and tricks from “specialists” in the trade? If so, please join us on Thursday, July 28th from 1 – 4 pm at the Derry Public Library for a program designed specifically for public librarians.
This 3-hour session will aim to cover the reference interview for legal questions, foundations of the law, and most exciting of all – a practical “hands-on” demonstration of e-filing. To our knowledge, this is the first time that a trial court staff member will be available at a legal reference training to guide librarians through the court filing process!
This program will be conducted by NH State Law Librarian Mary Searles, Derry Public Library Director (and former Attorney) Eric Stern, and Court Navigator Program Manager Manu Cunha from the Nashua District Court.
Registration is limited for this session to 20 attendees. If interested, please use the Register tab above to pre-register.
