Part-time Library Page
Page, Circulation Department: 10 hrs/wk during the school year; 15 hrs/wk during the summer
Hours: Two weekday evenings (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday) and every Saturday.
Derry Public Library is searching for a motivated, self-directed individual with strong organizational skills, who can alphabetize with ease and is familiar with the Dewey Decimal System.
Duties include sorting, shelving, and retrieving books and other library materials; shelf reading (i.e. making sure the shelves are in order); plus other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 15 and a half years old, be able to follow written and oral instructions, and be detail oriented. The ideal applicant will also have skill in alphabetizing and putting materials in correct Dewey Decimal classification order, be physically able to push heavy carts, reach upper and lower shelves, bend, stoop, lift, and stand for long periods of time. The ability to work independently and maintain a friendly and courteous manner are essential.
Salary: $10.50/hr
