One Spooky Night (Socially Distanced Edition!)

The Tradition Continues...with a Socially Distanced Twist!

This year, registered family groups will be given a time to begin their tour of our haunted library. Staff will greet you at the front of the library and when it's time, send your family along the spooky library path! Your haunted tour will end in Macgregor Park where you can view a showing of our recorded shadow puppet show.

Costumes are welcome, but remember, masks are required for all patrons over three years of age during the event.

Holiday Gift Making

Homemade gifts are the best! They are made with love and completely unique. Join Ms. Michelle for some Holiday Gift Making. Usually, these gifts are top-secret, but you will need an adult to help you out. Register in advance to pick up a Take It and Make It bag in our lobby. On December 8th, at 4 pm we will post our tutorials for Sharpie mugs, hot chocolate kits, and gift bags on the Derry Public Library Facebook and You Tube pages. If registration is full or you are unable to pick up a Take It and Make It bag you may complete these projects with materials from home (see below).

Harry Potter Halloween!

Calling all witches and wizards! It's time to celebrate the not too spooky season. Join Ms. Michelle for a Harry Potter Halloween! Register in advance to pick up a Take It and Make It bag in our lobby. On October, 15th at 4 pm we will post our tutorials for making monster books, little Hedwigs (snowy owls), and toilet paper pumpkins on the Derry Public Library Facebook and You Tube pages. If registration is full or you are unable to pick up a Take It and Make It bag you may complete these projects with items from home (see below).
