Genealogy Series: Indigenous Derry -- POSTPONED

Derry was settled by the Scotch-Irish in 1719. At that time it was known as Nutfield and comprised the towns of what are now Windham, Derry and Londonderry.

Foundational town texts suggest that prior to Scotch Irish settlement, the land was the seasonal hunting and fishing grounds of the Abenaki, the People of the Dawn.

Join us as we dive into local and statewide resources, analyze perspective, and try to unearth Indigenous history.
